What is a scullenoid ?
A scullenoid is a trademark name created by DKHicks to identify an electromechanical device that he invented. The scullenoid name was created by combining the word “scull” and appending “noid” as was done for the word “solenoid”.
The device is unique in the fact that it is not a solenoid but is more like a linear motor. Mr. Hicks has chosen not to patent the device in order to protect trade secrets. Think of it as a Coca-Cola / KFC special recipe approach.
The scullenoid was invented to propel the next generation of humanoid robots and AI machines into the future by providing life like movements with sensory feedback.
